Glossybox Review: Jan 2015

The new year seems to have birthed a whole new Glossy. Gone are the tired nail products, crappy perfume samples and sachets of over priced serums. Instead this month they have presented us five bad ass products, all of which will be living in my daily use pile. Lets have us a little looky shall we?…

Kueshi Natural & Pleasant Cosmetics – Revitalising Face Toner

I’ve never really been a fan of toners. A teenager of the 90’s I always remember them being quite abrasive and stripping all the goodness from my skin. Those days are well and truly gone though. These days toners are much more nourishing and friendly to our skin. Never the less I like to keep my beauty regime simple, opting for Eve Lom’s renowned balm cleanser, which is an amazing all in one! I have been toying with the idea of trying a toner so this little gem packed full of natural moisturisers and soothers has definitely come at the right time. Nice one glossy!

Nicka K New York – Colorluxe Powder Blush

I love, love, LOVE this little beaut! This lovely little pot of ‘Romantic’ blush, a gorgeous pinky/red powder that feels as smooth as velvet is perfect for a natural flush. The handy little tub has a great little mirror on the lid for quick touch ups and is really secure for throwing in your handbag. The only thing I’m not completely sold on is the powder puff inside. The blush is dispensed through the powder puff, supposedly making it easy to sweep across your cheek bones. In theory this is a fab idea, for me however I think that it leaves application a little patchy and I can’t see how you would wash it to maintain cleanliness. If I can find a way to detach it I’ll be doing so ASAP!

Jelly Pong Pong – All Over Glow

This is a gorgeous highlighter/illuminator for the cheekbones, brow bone and cupids bow. When you initially squeeze the oil free formula out of the funky little tube it appears quite bronze in colour. Blend it out however and you have a gorgeous light champagne shimmer on your hands. Be careful not to use too much or you might end up looking like  a disco ball on steroids!

MeMeMe – Eye Line Pencil in Clay

Another fab offering in this months box. I love me an eyeliner, especially a kohl. Depending on how you apply this great liner depicts how intense the colour is. Go in with light strokes for light brown effect, alternatively use a bit more of a heavy hand and the thick and creamy formula will give you an intense brown. You can even get to work blending the gorgeous liner out for a fab smokey effect.

Naked Lips – Organic Lip Balm Superfruits

I have to give honorary mention to this amazing little lip balm. It tastes so yummy and fresh, I have to be careful not to eat my lips off! The ingredients are 99% organic and 100% natural, meaning that not only does it taste delish but it’s also good for our smackers.

Now the only issue I have with this balm is that although Glossy state the price is £3.90, there doesn’t seem to be a link to where you can purchase it. I’ve googled until my fingers were sore and alas, sod all! If any of you know where I can get my paws on some of this I’d be much obliged. It’s not often that Glossy send me a product that I love as much as this!

All in all this months box is a big hit in my house. Every single product is not only full-sized, they’re also fabulous. I can’t wait to see what Glossy have in store for us next month. What about you guys, did you love or hate your January box?

PEACE & LOVE
