Glossybox Review: Nov 2014

gb14I’m so late to the Glossybox train this month. In my defence it’s been a pretty hectic month so I have totes lost track of time. Here I am though, finally with my two pennies worth on this months offering.

First up I am pleased to announce that among the five products isn’t one nail product, finaaaaaaaaly! There’s a pretty good mix of stuff this month and I reckon I’ll use most of the products at some point. So here my lovelies are my first impressions…

IMG_8610 IMG_8614 IMG_8615This is definitely my favourite product in this months box, if not one of my fave ever products from Glossybox. The packaging is sweet and girly and the retractable pencil itself is fab! Creamy and highly pigmented, it applies like a dream, even to the waterline which can be ‘mare’ with some eyeliners. I’ll be putting it to the test and reporting back on its longevity and blendability.

Burt’s Bees Lip Shine

IMG_8599I am a massive fan of Burt’s Bees. They’re 100% natural and taste and smell yummy. I’m having so much trouble with my lips lately, they seem to be chapped right down to my chin making me look like a clown! When they’re like this lipstick is not an option, so this lovely tinted lip shine with its moisturising properties is just the ticket. I got the colour Smooch which as you can see is bang on trend this autumn.

H20+ Face Oasis

IMG_8619This oil-free gel promises to deliver deep hydration and reduce fine lines, big claims! I’m going to swap this for my usual day moisturiser over the next few weeks and see if it can live up to its promises. Watch this space!

MONU Skincare Firming Fiji Facial Oil

IMG_8606Oh I love me an oil and I was desperately in need of a new one after just finishing off my Caudalie Divine Oil. Money being tight at this time of year means I could do without buying another until the new year, kudos then to Glossy for sending over this lovely MONU oil. MONU state you can use this day, evening or night but in my opinion it’s better suited for use overnight as an intensive treatment.

Umberto Giannini Scrunching Jelly

IMG_8604I was really excited to see this item included. I have naturally wavy hair and have yet to find a product that will tame it enough to let it be in it’s natural state. Unfortunately this product needs a diffuser to complete the look. Since I haven’t even laid eyes on a diffuser since the 90’s I reckon this will lay unused in my draw. Unless I come across someone who actually owns a diffuser, do those things still exist?

All in all I’m pretty impressed with this months box. Glossy seem to be upping their game lately so I’m really looking forward to next months box. How about you guys, did you love or hate this months offering?
