I don’t know about you guys but if I’m heading out for the night I like my foundations and concealers to give me maximum coverage. In the day I usually opt for a full coverage ‘invisible/HD’ foundation such as Makeup Forever’s HD or Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk.
A night on the town means only one thing for me though, full on glam! Go hard or go home, right?! Now while my Holy Grail invisible foundations will look nice enough, I do prefer the heavier look that M.A.C.’s Studio Sculpt gives me.
A creamy, luxurious, gel-based foundation that provides medium buildable to high coverage with a natural satin finish. Hydrating, instantly revitalizes the skin while keeping it looking smooth, soft and plush. Long-wearing, water-resistant.
In my book this is a pretty accurate description of this lovely foundation. It does have a pretty thick/gel like consistency that doesn’t really need much building to achieve a really high coverage. It evens out skin tone perfectly and gives the most amazing base for contouring. I go for NW 20 for my Studio fix and also my Pro Longwear Concealer.
MAC Pro Longwear concealer is one of those great products that gives a full coverage that stays put all night. Not only this but it can also be used as an eyeshadow primer, bonus!
A lightweight fluid concealer that provides medium to full coverage with a comfortable, natural matte finish. Colour-true formula lasts up to 15 hours. Helps conceal and correct the look of under-eye circles, and discolorations.
I do love this concealer and love to pop it on as a base for the heavy contouring I opt for on a night out. I find that if I apply my foundation, concealer and then contour over it all with my NYX HD Photogenic concealer I have little to no dark circles. Not only that but this combination seems to hold up amazingly well, especially if I set it with a great powder like Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal Light.
What about you guys, have you tried MAC’s studio fix or Pro Longwear Conealer? Do you think there are any better offerings from MAC? Also if anyone has tried the Mineralise products please drop me a line because they are definitely on my list!
PEACE & LOVE
