Flashback Friday – NYC!!

As I’m in full holiday prep mode I’m travel obsessed! I love to travel anyway, it’s my absolute favourite thing to do. Now I wish I wasn’t so precious and could sling a few bits in a backpack and set off on the open road, that’s not really my style though. We all have our hang ups and I need to be organised and have everything sorted before I get on the plane. I also love my home comforts and would miss my family far too much to be away for an extended period of time.

Don’t get me wrong if I could put my little dog in my case along with my family and jet around the world I would do it in a heartbeat. As that’s not a possibility I opt to take slightly longer holidays and explore my chosen destination. Generally myself and Ché never go for beach holidays, in fact in our ten years together we have never been on a beach holiday. The only time I ever do them is when I go on girls holidays. When myself and Ché are away we much prefer either city breaks or places where we can explore. Going to Thailand will definitely be a change for us, I doubt very much that we’ll be sat by a pool or beach though, we’ll probably be island hopping every day :O)

Anyhow one of my absolute favourite places on the planet is New York. I lost my heart to it back in 2006 and I now have to stop myself booking a break there every year. NYC is everything that I expected it to be when I originally visited. I literally felt like I’d been dropped onto a movie set and been left to explore. If you have never been then I reckon you should definitely book it for your next break. I have never known a single person return from NYC and not tell me they fell in love. We like to visit in early May when the weather is warm but not stifling, the beautiful flowers are just starting to bloom and everything looks gorgeous.

As you may know from my previous flashback Friday posts in 2012 we went on a three-week jaunt across the states. I have already covered Vegas and San Fran so thought I’d share NYC with you…

Ready to book a holiday yet? ;O)

  1. Looks like you had a great time. I’ve been bit by the travel bug too – it’s a hard one to get rid of! Absolutely love discovering new places and new cultures. You’re getting me all hot up about travelling now! I’m so excited for the summer.

  2. Hey are using WordPress for your site platform? I’m new to the blog world but
I’m trying to get started and create my own. Do you need any html coding expertise to make your own blog?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    • Hey, yep I use WordPress. You don’t need any expertise. I have adapted my HTML with the help of the lovely people on the forums. You can just pick a theme and stick to it though. Good luck x
