The Starlight Walk

If you’ve been reading the blog this weekend then you’ll have heard me talking about the Starlight Walk. We signed up to support our local East Cheshire Hospice who need to raise £6000 a day just to stay open. The East Cheshire Hospice help so many people at varying points during their battle with Chronic illness, they make such a difference to so many people, we really need to help them raise the funds to provide this amazing service.

This year the Starlight Walk was held in the grounds of the beautiful Capesthrone Hall. We all met in the celebration field where there was live music, dance troupes, BBQ’s and even doggie massage. The theme was festival attire and the prize for best fancy dress was a bottle of Champagne. My Mum made head garlands, doggie bandanas, tutu’s, fairy wings and a walking stick to help her with the walk. Ché’s cousin Carl won the best dressed for his hippy/afro OOTD :O)

The walk was around the grounds of the Capesthrone estate, we walked through beautiful woods, over gorgeous streams and lakes and up past the candlelit manor. We were all given a candle in a little jar to leave somewhere on the walk in remembrance of people we have loved and lost. We left a couple of candles in the remembrance field that was next to a beautiful bluebell wood. We were all given goody bags and medals at the end, even the dogs were given a medal for taking part :O) It was a really emotional and bittersweet evening that was very magical. Well done to East Cheshire Hospice for arranging something so amazing that not only helped us raise money, but also gave people the chance to remember their loved ones. Thankyou also to everyone that sponsored us and helped raise money for such an amazing cause xx

In remembrance of Aunty Annie, Cousin Roger and Uncle Martin…we will love you forever xxxx164 (2)ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageimage
