That’s right today is my birthday, so as I write this I’m also sitting watching Styling Sex & the City and eating chocolate for breakfast :O) If you can’t do that on your birthday when can you? Anyhow onto the haul! I have been very blessed and given some beautiful gifts by my lovely family and friends.
As we’re due to travel to Abu Dhabi and Thailand in May I have received a lot of holiday inspired gifts. Thai Baht for spending on holiday, gift vouchers to get some of the items on my Holiday Wish List and I have finally gotten my paws on the Zoeva Makeup Tote…eek, sooooo excited! I have also received; silk scarves, american candy and Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation As if that wasn’t enough, on Monday I was lucky enough to be treated to a Trafford Centre haul…I am a very, very grateful, lucky girl! So thanks everyone for my gorgeous gifts and fabulous cards xoxo OK so as part of my haul I have finally gotten my mitts on the NAKED BASICS palette which contains 6 gorgeous matt shades. At first glance this little palette looks really underwhelming and dare I say it…boring. Don’t be fooled though, these basic little palettes usually turn out to be the most versatile and used in any makeup collection. Watch this space for a review!
Whilst perusing the Urban Decay counter, their ever helpful MUA Alex pointed out the NAKED pencils. Aw maaaaan just when you think you’ve completed your NAKED eye collection they bring out even more! Each NAKED palette now has a double ended pencil to accompany it. The Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencils are the absolute best on the market so I’m mega excited they’ve brought out a NAKED range. The fact that they are £12 for a double ended version is just an added bonus.
I love them all but the NAKED 3 pencil is absolutely gorgeous. Every pencil is inspired by their namesake palette. For this one, you have one end which is Darkside, a beautiful metallic/brown/plum and the other is Blackheart, which is a kind of smoky black/purple/plum with burgundy/red micro-sparkles. I absolutely love it.
Now then I have heard amazing things about Maybelline’s New Baby Skin – Instant Pore Eraser. From what I’ve read it’s as good as Benefit’s Porefessional, only it doesn’t cost £24.50. Instead you can pick this up for £7.99 in Boots, and they have a 2 for 3 offer on at the minute, making it even cheaper. I’ll be putting it to the test and letting you know what I think. As part of the 3 for 2 offer I also got a new No7 powder puff and Rimmel 60 Seconds polish in Mind the Gap Victoria, which is the perfect on trend, pastel blue for spring. Last but not least I had a little treat from LUSH in the form of their BB Seaweed fresh mask and Skin Drink Moisturiser. Some of you know I have been having a horrendous battle with my overly sensitive, dry skin lately and I’m hoping this might do the trick. I’ll be reviewing them soon.So that’s my birthday haul, look out for a birthday inspired FOTD and OOTD later on. I’ll also be reviewing the Zoeva Makeup Tote later in the week.
As Always…PEACE & LOVE
