Oscars Hair and Beauty

So we’ve seen the dresses and been dazzled by the diamonds, now it’s time to have a look at the handy work of some of the most talented makeup artists and hair stylists in the business!

Most of the ladies were keeping it simple on Sunday night, timeless and classical was definitely a big theme on both the red carpet and at the after parties. Beautiful sweeping waves, reminiscent of old Hollywood was a re-occurring theme in the hair department, with both Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett pulling it of the best. Makeup wise the natural look was definitely the most popular option, well I suppose they didn’t want to take any of the attention away from their dresses and diamonds!

Most ladies opted for a combination of flawless skin, a simple lined eye and nude lips. Personal favorites were Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.ImageImage

As well as being among the best dressed Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock and Kate Hudson were some of the only ladies to brave a smokey eye. I have to admit they looked absolutely amazing for it and were most definitely some of the best makeup looks of the night!

Another rare sighting was any kind of lip colour, again only a few ladies dared to be bold.

Personally my favorites of the night were the ladies that went in with the on trend bold reds, orange reds and vamp lips. Emma Watson, Kerri Washington, Margot Robbie, Taylor Swift and of course the Kardashians didn’t disappoint.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

So that leaves my stand out looks of the night. My absolute favorites, simply for being daring and keeping it on trend were Lupita Nyong’o, Miranda Kerr, Rita Ora, Evan Rachel Wood and Karen O.ImageImageImage ImageImage

Well that about rounds up the Oscars for this year…sob… What did you guys think?
