Romantic Beyoncé Inspired Makeup

I enjoyed a relaxing day off yesterday at my SIL’s. After watching rather a lot of music videos we decided on trying a Beyonce XO inspired look on her. As she had to go pick her daughter up from school halfway through I went for a toned down version. I decided on quite a soft romantic look inspired by the beautiful purple and lavender hues of Beyoncé’s XO makeup. I wanted something that would work well on a date night or even the upcoming Valentine celebrations.

For the eyes I went for an Urban Decay base using primer potion and then Buzz from the NAKED 3 palette. For the outer 2/3 of the eye I went for Bobbi Brown’s Black Ruby (Sparkle Palette) and blended Blackheart from the NAKED 3 over the top. On the inner corners of the eye I went for Bobbi Brown’s Pink Rose (Sparkle Palette) with Sin from the NAKED 1 on the brow bone. I lined the eye with Urban Decay’s 24/7 liner in perversion, finishing off with Diorshow mascara.

For the base I used Yolanda’s Maybelline Dream Satin Foundation in Cocoa. I contoured using NYX’s HD Concealer and Daniel Sandler’s Sculpt and Slim Effect Contour Powder. I used NYX’s amazing HD Studio Powder as a finish and for the blush I used NARS Orgasm….what else? For highlighting I went for YSL’s Palette Pink. Finally on the lip I used M.A.C. Plumful and layered on a deep pink gloss from the NYX Nude on Nude Palette.

As always I love to hear your opinions. Let me know what you think. Today is a busy one for me. I’ve been to a family members 65th birthday breakfast and now I am off to get ready for a dinner party we’re due to attend this evening. I’ll be posting the different looks I decided to go for tomorrow. Have a great Saturday everyone.

As always…PEACE & LOVE
