After the madness that was Christmas with my amazing family I decided I needed a little more…madness that is. Queue me walking around the Trafford Centre on Boxing Day trying to find a few bargains with my Christmas vouchers.
Myself and the fam usually gift each other Trafford Centre gift cards that you can spend in almost any shop. I love the Trafford Centre on Boxing Day, especially when armed with a pocketful of vouchers. I am free to peruse the shops for a bit of guilt free shopping. This year however it was crazy busy at the sales. I almost…only almost people, lost the will and came home. Like the true pro I am though I persevered and found my bargains.
I managed to resist the All Saints leather skirt and chunky bracelet that was calling my name and stuck to my shopping list. Anyway I think after all the junk I have eaten this Christmas said leather skirt may have burst at the seems…where did I put that 30 day shred DVD?
I also managed to resist the amazingness that is the Selfridges shoe sale. There are so many different shoe designers thrown in and they are all at rock bottom prices. There is literally something for every style and budget.
As far as the beauty halls go there seemed to be sale signs above all the major concessions, apart from CHANEL that is…when do you ever see a sale sign above CHANEL beauty? Upon closer inspection however the only things on offer seemed to be the seasonal gift packs. Illamasqua had some great offerings, but my fave by far was the Shu Uemura stand. Before I could dig in I had to distract my Ché, he really didn’t need to see the reduced items that he had paid full price for the week before!
On my shopping list was the Clarisonic Mia 2 which you can usually find in Selfridge’s. Unfortunately they had been cleared away to make way for the sale items. Instead I paid Boots a visit and as I mentioned in another post I got my skin care system in the form of the Magnitone Pulsar. I will be starting my trial today for two weeks and then I’ll pop a review up. It was originally £130.00 but reduced to £65.00 with another 10% off. With all the discount it came in around £58.50(ish). Absolute bargain, thanks Boots!!
I also got some Do Son Diptyque perfume in the Space.NK sale. I got 50% off so instead of £68.00 for 100ml it was £34.00..doing a little dance right now guys! If you haven’t already check out the Space.NK sale, it’s fantastic. I’ve spied a few Laura Mercier bits in there too so you might want to hurry!
Now I just have the chore…I jehst, of choosing what to spend my amazon vouchers on. I’m thinking make up brushes. As of yet I don’t own any Real Techniques or Japonesque brushes…who would’ve thunked it? I’m thinking I should give them a try because I hear great things about both these companies and they look fantastic for the price.
Apart from that the only thing left on my list is the NARS Yachiyo Kabuki Brush. I am totally obsessed with this amazing looking brush and am desperate to find a discount code of some sort. I can’t be paying full price in SALE season!!
