Christmas Lipsticks

What would Christmas be without a few new lippies? Yesterday I was trawling the shops for my last minute gifts and I actually, wait for it…stayed focussed, I know amazing right? I completely finished my shopping, horah, so I felt I deserved a little treat.

I’ve decided my lipstick collection needs a little attention so I paid M.A.C. a little visit. Shout out to Sophie from Trafford Centre M.A.C. who helped me loads and was lovely to talk make up with :O) When she asked me what I was after I had to really rack my brain. I mean usually I just stand swatching products until I find what I like. Today however I wanted to be more specific.

I decided I would like a deep berry like colour and something else that was totally different and fresh. My emphasis is usually on my eyes and I normally stick to the rule of eyes or lips. Fashions change however and the full on eye and lip combo is bang on trend at the moment, would be a shame not to join in the fun.

After swatching like a million lipsticks and with the help of the lovely Sophie I finally landed on Lustre Lipstick in Plumful and Amplified Creme Lipstick in Vegas Volt.

MAC2 012

Plumful seen on your left in both pictures is a gorgeous mauve/deep pink shade that is very understated. It looks really nice with a subtle nude eye but also transitions well into an evening look with a full on glamorous eye.

Vegas Volt is really out there. It is a lovely matt coral/pink/red shade. I must admit I was a bit thrown when I first tried this on but it’s definitely a grower. I can’t wait to wear it over the festive season.

What do you think guys? Good or bad choices? Will you be rocking the full on eye and lip combo this holiday season? Let me know your thoughts…
