Cult Classics………..#3

Time for instalment #3 of my most beloved beauty must haves. If you missed my previous posts you can catch up on #1 here and #2 here.Image

OK lets talk nails. I’m in love with Start to Finish by OPI £12.50

I have the most crappy, flaky nails. I have tried like a million different treatments but none of them work as well as this little guy. If applied regularly this really does help to strengthen nails. Not only that but you can also use it as a base and top coat. The perfect all rounder in my book!

CHANEL LE VERNIS Nail Colour in Black Pearl £18.00

First up I need to be clear, CHANEL nail polishes are not the most hard wearing, I find they chip easily and really don’t last that long. Apply a good top coat over them and you may get a little more wear out of them. That being said they cannot be beaten on their beautiful and often iconic shades. Apart from Paradoxal one of my absolute all time favourites is Black Pearl. For these winter months it is a beautiful and original metallic shade of gun metal/blue that I find myself grabbing year after year!

Next up is my HD – Eye & Brow palette in Vamp £19.96

Boys and girls if you haven’t tried HD brows yet you need to treat yourself and get it done. Now I have the most sparse, crappy brows. What does Hollie Wakeham say………….. “like two fleas and a nit!”

One of my must have treatments is HD Brows. Not only is the treatment amazeballs but the products are pretty fab too. The best of the bunch is the eye and brow palettes. Now I have never used mine on my eyes but I use it every day for my brows. I have always been a fan of powder on my brows. I like a defined but soft brow that doesn’t look like it’s been stencilled on by a graffiti artist………scouse brow lovers I’m looking at you!

My colour choice for this palette is vamp. No matter what shade of bronde, ombré, chesnut or caramel I have my hair the perfect brow colour, or ability to blend it is here. I was lucky enough to get mine in a Glossybox when they were pretty much sold out everywhere. Keep your eyes open and if you see one I advise you to snap it up.

My next classic is Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Bricks £32.00

I was lucky enough to get these at an outlet mall in Florida when I was on holiday. I saved an absolute fortune and managed to get some shades that can be hard to come by.

I have owned quite a few of these shimmer bricks and absolutely love them. Platinum Pink as pictured here does not seem to be as well pigmented as a lot of the other shimmer bricks. I tend to use this as a highlighter. Bronze however is great and gives me a lovely subtle, shimmery finish to my cheek bones. Get down to your nearest BB counter and have a play with the different shades, there’s something for everyone.

I do have one gripe however, they smash far too easily. They come with a foam insert that I always save and I never take them out with me, but still one little knock and they smash to bits. This has happened to two of mine now and it’s getting beyond a joke. Bobbi Brown you need to address this. I love the product but can’t keep replacing them!

That’s it for this instalment my lovelies. I hope it’s been of some help. As always let me know what you think and don’t forget to follow me here or on twitter to catch further instalments :O)
